A proper afternoon tea ☕️ and scone break is in or A proper afternoon tea ☕️ and scone break is in order when one is in the midst of editing a book. I discovered this beautiful shop called @brownsenglishtoffee in Glendora, CA down the street and I will surely return.

My son and I had the chocolate chip scone (he highly recommends) and the lavender lemon scone which was divine! 🪻🍋 I got the Earl Gray tea latte and my son got a cup of milk 🥛 they have a lovely array of tea choices (and coffee if you’re into that 😉), toffee, scones, and I heard they are working on tea sandwiches 🥪

Treat yourself to a delicious outing at this local gem if you’re in the area!

Let me know… what’s your favorite tea and or scone? 🫖👇

Some of my favorite reads of 2025 ✨📚 I’m excited Some of my favorite reads of 2025 ✨📚

I’m excited to share a handful of stories that stayed with me long after I turned the final page.

I read 29 books in 2025—lots of fantasy, a few rom-coms, one science fiction pick I loved (keep reading 👀), and a couple of historical fiction titles. I definitely lean fantasy (no surprise there). It’s my true love.

📖 The Last Bookshop in London
A historical fiction novel set in 1939, following Grace as she moves to London and finds work in a dusty old bookshop during WWII. What begins as a simple job becomes a place of refuge and connection during unimaginable hardship. A beautiful story about resilience, found family, and the quiet power of books.

🧚 Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Fairies
Whimsical, slow-burn fantasy told through a professor’s journal as she studies fairy folklore. So charming and imaginative.

 🗝️The Betrayal of Eden
A dark fantasy, gender-swapped Count of Monte Cristo retelling that explores revenge, class, and ambition in a magical world. Eden’s journey pulled me in completely—I cared deeply about her and couldn’t stop reading. Rich worldbuilding and thoughtful themes. Book one in a series.

🏺What the River Knows & Where the Library Hides
This historical fantasy duology completely blew me away. Compelling characters, a richly rendered Egypt, nonstop momentum, and twists I didn’t see coming. I devoured these books and immediately wanted to reread them. Think Indiana Jones meets The Mummy… plus magic. Please read these.

🎮 Ready Player One
I don’t read much science fiction, but this was a book club pick—and I’m so glad it was. The worldbuilding, layered plot, and character arcs hooked me fast. I loved this far more than I expected.

🧚On Wings of Ash and Dust
The first book in a YA epic fantasy series with fae clans, deadly trials, memorable characters, and immersive worldbuilding. Not tropey, immersive, and eager for book two.

What were some of your favorite reads this year? Any recommendations you think I’d love?

Here we are — 2026. The beginning of something new Here we are — 2026. The beginning of something new. ✨

It’s been a little while since I’ve been on social media. I took a much needed mental reset over the holidays, choosing to be intentional with family time, especially as my son grows and steps into his toddler years. I wanted to soak up every precious moment. Time with family was refreshing and soul filling…and I even made my first ever Christmas dinner for my husband’s family.

Let’s just say my appreciation for homemade holiday meals has grown exponentially. 🙏🏻

Now for a little update…some of you may have seen on my stories…

I’ve officially started Book 2 of The Inkbound Chronicles ✨
(Title reveal coming soon!)

If I’m honest, I was afraid to begin. Afraid I wouldn’t find my way back to Domhania or into the characters.

Afraid I had poured all my creativity into Inkbound Inheritance and had nothing left to give. But I’m happy to say — the well is not dry.

The story is alive, and I have so many exciting ideas ahead.

I began drafting on January 2nd and have written almost every day since.

My big, slightly terrifying goal is to finish an 80k word manuscript by March 31st.

And so far…we’re on track. 🤍

I’ve committed to writing nearly every day this quarter (with just a few travel days), and any words written on the road will be a bonus. Sharing this goal felt scary. I worried about failing publicly or disappointing you.

But then I thought about how many dreams stay hidden because they feel too big, too fragile, or too risky.

So I’m sharing this with you in case you need permission to try. To do it afraid. To take one small step toward the thing that’s been tugging at your heart.

If I can do this, you can do your thing too. Let’s step into this new chapter together, say yes, and believe in ourselves. I believe in you!

And even if I don’t hit this goal exactly on time, progress is still progress. I can adjust. I can pivot. And that’s okay.

Life rarely goes exactly as planned, but we can keep going. We can do hard things. We can rise again.

Here’s to our dreams.

Here’s to giving them room to grow.

Welcome to 2026 — let’s get after it ✨

From idea to publication ✨ As we enter into a se From idea to publication ✨

As we enter into a season of Thanksgiving and holidays, I’m calling it my Magic & Gratitide season 🙏🏻

I’m thinking back over the past five years and how far Inkbound has come from idea, to rough draft, edits, website, launch party, publication, to bookstore events. I’m in awe and incredibly grateful to you all. 💚

If you have a passion in your heart, keep going! If I can do it, so can you. So, what’s your passion project? 💫
